How is this different from Backloggd?
Backloggd is a social log with one rating per game. RateTheThings is private by default, lets you rate gameplay, story, graphics, and sound alongside each game's overall score, then refines the order with head-to-head duels and auto-builds a tier list.
Can I make a tier list of my games?
Yes. Games auto-sort into S-D tiers from their scores, you drag to adjust, and export a clean PNG share card for the group chat or a stream overlay.
Is the game tracker free?
Yes. Lists, ratings, ranking, tiers, stats, and Wrapped are all free with no limits, and no account is required.
Where is my game data stored?
Locally, in your browser's IndexedDB. Without an account, your ratings never leave your device. Signing in backs up your lists to the cloud automatically; you can turn that off, or encrypt backups so the server cannot read them. Adding a friend shares the names and overall scores of your rated items with them, and a list you publish is readable by anyone with its link. Searching for a game to add sends only the search text, through our server, to IGDB.
